The Brain Health and Wellness Video Series

Many U.S. service members, veterans and civilians worry about getting dementia because they had a traumatic brain injury (TBI). TBI is one of many risk factors for developing dementia. Fortunately, almost all of these risk factors can be prevented or managed. Making healthy lifestyle choices can keep your brain healthy and help prevent dementia.

The Brain Health and Wellness Video Series has a 5 minute overview segment on nine modifiable brain health risk factors. There is also a 3-5 minute segment on each risk factor: hearing loss, diabetes, hypertension, depression, PTSD, excessive alcohol use, tobacco use, obesity, and insufficient sleep. Following each video segment are links to helpful tools, resources and clinical provider access.
